Yoga with Sarah Zimmerman

"Yoga and Femaissance have a lot in common. They both facilitate a sense of belonging, a community of like-minded people in service of change. They both encourage taking up space, whether physically, energetically, or artistically. And they both allow us to be ourselves, in whatever way feels good. Come practice being yourself on the mat, so you can continue that practice off the mat as well.
In my classes, expect an attention to alignment, with opportunities to get curious about our bodies, our hearts, and the breath that links them. As a yoga teacher, I see myself as a guide, offering suggestions, modifications for accessibility, and options to spice things up. I am deeply influenced by the bhakti tradition and by mysticism of all types, but specifically by that of my Jewish heritage– which also lends itself to a certain dry humor, even during dharma talks. I relish the Tantric practice of diving IN to the body rather than trying to transcend or get OUT of it.”

Dominique Ranieri Pop Up

Dominique Ranieri found passion in metal work after taking a metalsmithing class on a whim. Originally from Chicago, she continues to hone her craft and has established her base in New Orleans. Inspired by moon cycles, female anatomy, and geometric shapes, the play between soft elements of nature and hard metal structure is ever present in Dominique’s work. Using locally sourced materials in their rawest forms, Dominique's designs carry a refreshing duality, refined technique and contemporary creativity. When she is not busy with metal work, she is using her creative hands making food or taking pictures. You can buy Dominique’s work directly on this site, or catch some one-of-a-kind pieces at art and craft  markets around New Orleans.
