Emery Gluck is a visual artist living in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Tulane University in 2018. Gluck has participated in multiple exhibitions in New Orleans since graduating, and in July of 2018 she was awarded an artist residency at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans for Early Art Practitioners. Additionally, in 2018 she received the Sandy Chism Memorial Award in Painting as well as many juror’s awards. Gluck’s paintings have been sold to buyers across the country, and her work has been published in The Tulane Review (2016) and on ApartmentTherapy.com (2018).

Emery's work finds inspiration in memory and the bittersweet experience of remembrance, in which some events are hidden or latent, but others are persistently clear. The initial gestures begin with her own memories, but Emery's hope is that the marks that evolve from her own thoughts may evoke new feelings for the viewer, allowing them to find rich meaning of their own.
